Kilbarrack Foxfield History

Established in 1974, Kilbarrack Foxfield Preschool is highly regarded within the community and it’s surrounds. Many children who attended in the 1970s and 1980s have returned as parents and grandparents to enroll future generations!
We provide high quality early childhood education in a warm, caring and fun environment. The teachers, many of whom are members of the community of Kilbarrack Foxfield, are highly experienced, skilled and qualified and are continually upskilling. The team is constantly keeping up to date with new research and training in the sector with ongoing professional development and we ensure that all decisions are made with the children’s best interests at heart.
Currently catering for over 120 children over a number of sessions we are a community based, state subsidised early childhood education facility with charitable status.

Our Mission Statement

At Kilbarrack Foxfield Preschool, we value the ability, individuality and cultural background of every child and family in our service. We incorporate varying family structures and circumstances into our program, interactions and resources for the children. We support the development of identity and sense of belonging in the children through meaningful representation and inclusive practice.
We engage in professional reflective practice as a team, as individuals as well as consultation with families, representatives of the community and other stakeholders. We ensure that each child is supported in reaching their fullest potential through the implementation of Aistear, adherence to Siolta, developing partnerships with families and developing trusting relationships with each child.
We tailor our preschool program in accordance with the strengths, needs and interests of each individual child, with a view to reaching learning goals decided upon with parents, educators and children, under the guidance of Aistear Themes.
